Welcome to the Community Section
This page is split up into several sections: Inclusion, Future Search Project, Sharp System and Student Parliament where you can find information on each of these endeavours. The badges below represent our Enrichment and Community ideals.

NLA/BYPP Partnership
The North Liverpool Academy has its own Youth Worker who organises a range of projects that engage students in the Academy and community.

Future Search
Future Search was a two day stakeholder planning event held in June 2008. It was initiated to give voice to community aspirations for the new Academy building and to develop and extend existing community support for the life chances and wellbeing of the students of North Liverpool Academy. Several taskgroups have been working in partnership on projects for Health, Safer Communities, Parent Learning and Enterprise.

Sharp System Information
There are many reasons why young people decide not to talk about incidents - confrontational, face to face, lack of confidence, scared, peer pressure, kudos, scared in case someone sees them talking to or seen in the schools office but to name just a few. As a result, Tropica Web Design in partnership with Merseyside Police are pleased to present to you a 24/7 365 days a year confidential 1st hand, 2nd hand and 3rd hand reporting system of any incidents which occur within the school and local community. Student Parliament
The NLA Student Parliament was created to allow students at the North Liverpool Academy to voice their opinions. It was created to put student ideas into actions to enable the school to be a safer and better place for students and teachers. There are 40 members with a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Vice Secretary. Students develop leadership skills through a host of projects including House Captains, Ambassadors, Enterprise Envoys and Anti-bullying councillors.

Connexions
Connexions is for you if you are 13-19, living in England and wanting advice on getting to where you want to be in life. It also provides support up to the age of 25 for young people who have learning difficulties or disabilities (or both). Connexions is a modern public service and young people are actively involved in its design and delivery. The service is managed locally by your Local Connexions Service which brings together all the key youth support services. Click Here For the Connexions Website

The Year 7s recently competed in the Times Spelling Bee Championship local heat. We came 4th and unfortunately didn't get through to the next round but it was a good effort. Well done to all those who took part.

Last night Merseyside Police held their 2nd annual Youth Engagement Reward & Recognition evening and our brilliant Drama Department and students were nominated to receive an award.

The Academy won an award with the citation reading "In recognition of your outstanding effort, dedication and commitment to the 2010 Act Together Initiative, Inside Justice Week and the City Safe Schools Parliament Event."

This Award was presented by the Assistant Chief Constable Colin Matthews and Chief Executive of the Professional Footballers Association Gordon Taylor.
